SwedishAmerican Hires Byron Couple As New Providers
January 4, 2017
SwedishAmerican can say it’s all in the family, literally, for a pair of physicians serving patients in Ogle County. Drs. Kayla (Bliton), DO, and Joseph Kimbell, DO, are joining SwedishAmerican this week.
Kayla graduated from Byron High School, attended Augustana College and received her medical degree from Des Moines University where she met her husband. The couple both completed residencies in Detroit, were married in 2015 and decided to move closer to Kayla’s family who still live in Northern Illinois. The physician couple found a home in Ogle County, live just minutes from work, and look forward to being active in the community.
“My family was thrilled when they learned we were relocating to Ogle County,” Kayla said. “There's a need for quality medical care here so I'm really looking forward to serving local patients, and we're very excited to be on the same team.”
The physician team has taken several medical mission trips together to places like Guatemala, and also enjoy biking, swimming, competing in triathlons, traveling and spending time with their new puppy.
