How do you combine a love for rural practice, HPSA or Illinois scholarship payback, and employment with the leading health system in northern Illinois? Join SwedishAmerican Health System! A position with SwedishAmerican Medical Group/Byron will allow you to practice small-town, rural medicine while enjoying the unique benefits only available through employment with a large medical group including hospitalist coverage and 1:17 phone-only call. Position qualifies for some IDPH loan forgiveness.

Collaborate with supervising physician to provide hospital-based palliative care in an inpatient hospital setting including palliative care management, hospital rounds, progress notes, treatment planning, and discharge planning and summaries. Perform initial evaluation, differential diagnosis and treatment plans, and medication management. Provide patient, family and staff education on palliative and end-of-life care. Coordinate marketing of program and services to community and referring providers.

Full-time practice opportunity to join the leading Obstetrics & Gynecology team in northern Illinois. Group of 11 Ob/Gyns and 4 APNs provide dedicated support to the 140+ employed providers of SAMG. Progressive office with Epic EMR and office-based ultrasound located on campus of Top 100 Quality Hospital. Nationally recognized SwedishAmerican Center for Women complements Ob/Gyn services with DEXA, mammogram, comprehensive breast care team, and urodynamics.

We provide service to three local hospitals with over 800 total beds and service a regional referral area of 250,000. Currently three partners with one planning retirement. Flexible practice arrangement will accommodate your individual lifestyle needs. Academic component with University of Illinois College of Medicine includes teaching medical students and residents and up to 15% research. Partnership in two years with minimal buy-in, competitive salary subsidized by local hospitals and benefits available through University of Illinois. POSITION DOES NOT QUALIFY FOR J-1 VISA HOLDERS.

Our neuro team provides dedicated neurosurgery, general neurology, neuromuscular, and stroke/neurocritical support to our team of over 100 employed physicians and our Top 100 Quality Hospital. Certified Stroke Center serves 12 counties in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin. Neurology support includes digital PACS and PET scan, EEG/EMG lab, and two accredited sleep labs.

Join two experienced neurosurgeons in the SwedishAmerican Neuro & Headache Center, located on the campus of our Top 100 Quality Hospital. Call 1:3 with one week on, two off (avg one call/night.) Dedicated referral base of over 140 employed providers of SwedishAmerican Medical Group and 375+ active hospital staff members.

Great opportunity to hit the ground running in this five-surgeon group as a well-respected orthopedic surgeon plans retirement in 2016. High-volume sports medicine and orthopedic group with 1:5 call provides dedicated ortho support for the 150 providers of SwedishAmerican Medical Group. Second-busiest ED in the State of IL provides excellent patient volumes with ED call of 1:20.

One position remaining as we expand ENT to three physicians to meet the burgeoning demand of our established ENT service. Modern multi-specialty clinic features comprehensive and collaborative ENT, Allergy, and Audiology services with three AuDs as support. Built in referral base of the 150+ providers of SwedishAmerican Medical Group. State-of-the-art surgical suites available in two SwedishAmerican Hospital facilities. Community call of 1:8.

Assume the established and trusted practice of a retiring physician in the busiest oncology team in Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin. New free-standing Regional Cancer Center boasts 66,000 sq ft and state-of-the-art equipment, treatment, and services in the first LEED-certified cancer center in the nation. Named a Lung Cancer Center of Excellence (only six nationwide) the SwedishAmerican Regional Cancer Center is a division of UW Health and works in partnership with University of Wisconsin's Carbone Canter Center. The Regional Cancer Center team includes 1 other rad/onc, 7 hem/oncs, 2 physicists, 2 dosimetrists, STAR-certified therapists, and 3 National Cancer Registry analysts.
