Oncology Rehabilitation

While many may think the cancer care process is complete when the treatment is done, many patients may benefit greatly from oncology rehabilitation. From diagnosis into survivorship, oncology rehabilitation is designed to help patients manage some of the common side effects during and after cancer treatments.

Our physical, occupational and speech therapists are specially trained to assess, manage and treat a variety of symptoms related to cancer treatments, including:
  • Pain
  • Swelling
  • Stiffness
  • Fatigue
  • Weakness
  • Numbness in feet and hands
  • Loss of balance
  • Loss of function
  • Difficulty walking
  • Decreased range of motion
  • Difficulty swallowing
  • Difficulty speaking
A prescription for physical, occupational and/or speech therapy is required from any of your physicians prior to your first visit. The prescription can be faxed or you can bring it with you to your first appointment. Medicare, Medicaid and most private insurances cover the services provided by the oncology rehab team.
