MEDICAL IMAGING

Medical imaging involves the use of special technology to evaluate an area of your body that is not normally visible, in order to diagnose and examine disease. SwedishAmerican offers medical imaging services at two main locations: SwedishAmerican Hospital in Rockford, and SwedishAmerican Medical Center/Belvidere. At SwedishAmerican Hospital, medical imaging may involve one of the following:

  • Radiology (X-Ray)

  • CT Scan

  • Nuclear Medicine and PET Scanning

  • Ultrasound

  • MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)
