Dealing with behavioral problems and mental illness can be difficult, help is available. The Swedish American Center for Mental Health offers treatment for individuals starting at age twelve. Our staff of experienced, psychiatrists, professional therapists and specifically trained nurses and ancillary staff implement an effective treatment plan for each individual.
According to an article published by the American Psychiatric Association, it forewarned that just as with other medical illness, early intervention is important and essential for positive outcomes. The U.S. Surgeon General's office reports that a large number of Americans suffer from mental disorders and fail to seek treatment. Mental illness does not resolve on it's own. If you or someone you know needs help, call the 24 hour Assessment Line at (779) 696-2273, or at (800) 932-1810 from outside of Rockford. A no-cost, no-obligation assessment and consultation over the phone is available through our Assessment and Referral Program. Our staff will listen to and work with you to help determine the best course of action.
